I mowed ‘paths’ through it, left long areas around the trees, but made sure I could walk the fence to check for missing chooks.

This is likely how Fluffy got missed last night, I likely didn’t see her in the long grass and weeds.

I honestly love your videos. What a wonderful life these chickens have with you ❤️. Bless that little chick jumping up onto your lap. :love

Amori peeks out of his little coop.
I'm making him come indoors to eat now because Oliver was being mean about the food situation. After I told oliver off Amori became more confident.

Sadly it came up as forbidden on my end . I am sorry about this wildfire. I hope no one or any animals were badly hurt 😞
So far it's under a hundred acres. However, its rough country, lots of deadfall criss-cross all over the ground, so lots of fuel. If the pland and helicopters dumping water from a near by lake on it can stay on it and wind stays minimal, ground crews may be able to clear a break on it. Had some rain this afternoon, but if it only does a teaspoonful over the course of 2 min and stops, it doesn't help much. Not sure how much it did.

Screenshot of the fire. Notice the down trees? That's what we're cutting up for firewood on another mountain. The whole forest us like that and almost impossible to get into.

Yes Truly is one of my horses, she was bred and born here, and yes she is notoriously bad to load on a trailer. Over her 22 yrs she has gone to many many shows and over time has become very anti-trailer.

These days she is retired, so I let the trailer bad manners slide. We don’t go anywhere anymore thankfully!

I will post a photo of her tomorrow for ‘Pony Sunday’ 😊

Truly reminds me of our old Silkie Violet. As Violet aged and in her last couple years she took slower and slower walks up the coop ramp until one day she stopped in the middle -- not cuz she was stubborn -- she was uncomfortable. The next day she didn't even try the ramp and just huddled on the cold floor. It was obvious she was hurting somewhere so we brought her into the house for some cuddles and chitchat and gave her a soft-lined box for the night. Her wee heart stopped less than an hour later.

Not that Truly is old but maybe she's just uncomfortable using the horse trailer ramp anymore? When I turned 70 a decade ago I stopped house-sitting my DD's puppies cuz I couldn't climb her stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms anymore :old!
