Bob - that OEGB pullet can fly like a hawk! I was pulling the truck out from the barn and I guess it’s spooked her, she flew up and over the yard for her the fence and half way down the barn yard and landed nice as you please on the horses fence!

My BIL though it was a hawk! She flies like a duck I think! But fly she sure can!

I had to hop two fences to go and rescue her at least I know she can evade predators!

We've had b*tchy Silkie hens go at each other jumping 4' in the air trying to claw each other w/their slipper feet. Only happened once that we saw but it was scary!

So sorry your Silkies aren't pullets. It's why we don't hatch eggs or give eggs to broodies cuz of the heartbreak of getting roos

@Ponypoor ~ speak of the devil ~ 2 of our broody Silkie pullets decided to have a knock-down, fur-pulling, claw attack on each other today! DH pulled them apart. Little hellions as broodies but sweet as pie when normal

Once it's locked not a drop of water comes out even if the water handle is turned on full blast. Absolutely no water comes out until the key unlocks the brass lock. And there's absolutely no way to bolt cutter it open like some water locks on the market.

We got ours on Amazon cuz our local hardware store had mickey mouse spigot locks!

I was told cochins can be feather-growth sexed at two ish weeks. In that case, one of the purebreds (the dark one I want to keep most!) And two of the americana crosses would also be boys. I'm not going to hold that to any sort of truth for now. I did see Ric Flair and Tricksy sparring quite rougher than the other chicks, so another tick towards Tricksy being a boy. I'll have to try another year for a sebright girl. He's going to be the tiniest roast chicken, haha. Might try to place any good boys though.

Yep, Kasumi DOES have her head turned all the way around because I sneezed during dinner.
