Well said...To God goes all the credit.![]()
I missed saying, but I'm sorry to hear about your injury. Get well soon! The run won't actually be predator-proof. We'll do some things to make it harder for them, but really, it will be more predator-resistant and chicken-proof. The shed the coop is in will be Fort Knox though. Chickens go in at dusk, door closes, safe chickens.Wow! Say it backwards ~ Wow!
That's a lot of work! And now there's all that run to predator proof! Don't give up. It's all worth it in the end.![]()
Off topic but I need to share.
I gave a speech at my church today. It was professionally recorded and documented.
The pastor of my church is sending a message to the mayor of our town with compliments on my speech. The subject matter consisted of the homeless issues, the food and clothing bank I am setting up, and the neighborhood watch program that I will be leading. They know me as “The church deacon, chicken man and airwildfire spotting guy”
Anyway, this small town has grabbed me by the heart and didn’t let go!
Slow down and thinkI am sorry that your arm is just not cooperating. Healing is a complicated thing unfortunately, one we all take for granted.
And you are very correct, just one misstep and down you go! Been there many times myself. The older we get the more worrisome a fall is.
Everyday I worry about what would happen if I had an injury, who who care for the horses and chooks. Mostly the horses, they are the most dangerous to deal with.
Though, after slipping in that chicken poop earlier today I wonder at times

Yes. Here is TuffI just had a question pop into my head. I always see pics of the lovely bearded ladies, but never gentlemen. Do Roos get the beards and muffs too?
Storm season coming sooner than we need. Can you believe Sept is just about here ?!She's just ate a bit of scrambled egg with some mash into it. She's having that in the morning with lentils and rice.
The weather is blowing up a mini storm so she is now in her pen on the perch. So I've now locked her in.
My dog loves lentils and rice he'll have the same with turkey tomorrow.
Thanks RC![]()

Smiling puppiesTY! I have bookmarked it! & price is reasonable as spending over $500 for my current wonder pain non-prescription is also a wonder treatment.
Pain is not an issue at the moment. Total immobilization is the issue. We've spent over $200 on different splint/braces.

This current splint brace is too big so we had to order another one a size smaller. The one the Dr suggested 4 months ago didnt work at immobilizing even though it was the most expensive. We've bought several styles & this so far works but DH has to rig it himself w/extra velcro straps. & btw JoAnns craft store says there's a current supply shortage on velcro. DH had to go to a hardware store to buy a 15 ft industrial velcro roll!
TY to all you who include me in your prayers.
