I think he didn’t see that part.

I would put one on her, I had my mum make one for the silkies, there are patterns online.

It takes a couple hrs for them to ‘get used to it’, but once they do it’s fine.

Yep saddle and wing protection- or keep her separate from them.

Didn’t post this yesterday, not sure why the big kiddos want to drink from the small waterer! Maybe they still want to be chickies haha

Poor Clyde got clobbered last night by Raven. Once he settled down I went and snuggled him a bit, he is such a suck wanting to hide his head under my sweater and fall asleep.

Betty is sneaky, she sneaks into the Summer House and tries to pass herself off as her mama. It almost works except she has that Polish flag-tail and those black wattles

I let her stay for a bit, she visits with her Dada, eats all the food, has a nap and then wants back out with her friends - typical daughter!

I love Marty. I may have a pen full of black or mostly black chicks. Thinking most are pullets too. I'm still eyeballing Wee Miss Marty and plotting to sneak away with her.

side note...

What is it with styrofoam and chickens. If they can find it they are eating it. I honestly try not to think about what my crew eats to much. They spend too much time in the horse stall digging around through their poop eating things.

I am still traumatized by the frog the other night!
