Whomst is this glorious lady? She's BEAUTIFUL
Oh you must have missed that story 😊♥️

Back in March my neighbour came over to tell me one of my chooks was at her place. 😳

Um no I think they are all here I told her.

She showed me a pic on her phone and and I told ‘ok I’ll be right over!’

And knew almost immediately who she Linley belonged to. Turns out I was close, my neighbour 3 houses up bought a few chicks last year from a neighbour about a km up the road. That who I thought she was from.

Anyways, my neighbour 3 houses up had the chooks out for some free range, she went to grab her boys a snack and during that time the hen wandered off. The next day my next door neighbour finds her in their backyard.

She was so happy to have her back. Her wee 4 yr old by calmly walked up to the hen and picked her up 😊 I knew then she was loved and his pet.

But she is a beauty.

They are snuggled in and starting to dry off. Thankfully it isn't too cold.

In 2020, I spent 10 days in the hospital, 6 in ICU, respiratory and renal failure. Yeah...WAY worse than the flu. Missed 7 weeks of work and wasn't back to normal for nearly a year. The one thing that didn't happen was loss of taste and smell.

But now, chickens.

I've missed soooo much. You guys talk lots! LOL!

I was afraid Sheba would set a bad example. I didn't expect it to be for Eenie or Meanie. But my only egg was under the roosts today. View attachment 3951038

Sheba still looks rough. I've been out of town. So never got the apron, but she has to have one. Poor baby. View attachment 3951042
One of my Reds is starting to look like a hen instead of a pullet. Her comb and wattles are reddening up. View attachment 3951045The others not so much... but everyone are interested in the oyster shell...isn't that a thing?View attachment 3951056
Yup the apron will help. She needs help.

@Logar I really think having covid early 2020 made my heart conditon worse. I lost two family members to it too, please take care of yourself and take it easy when you are able.
@Lilion oyster shell is a good sign!!! Squatting is like the 2 week to go mark, at least it was in my pullets when they started.

More flooded run pictures, hubby says tomorrow after work he will help me get the tarp on top, and he has a 2nd tarp we can put up too.
Disco is also going to the new farm tomorrow.
