I was so excited about Aero’s first egg, I called the pastor who gave me my hen, and I called the feed store where she came from, I called the breeder, who supplied the store. And thanked them all. Strange maybe, but it was fun, and I’m bored

Now Aero is enjoying her own cob of fresh corn . It’s party time again at my home. The first egg is something to celebrate!

It’s been an hour, now I have Rudy my rooster in, finishing up the party mess that Aero made. He is a good roo

Rudy gets the run of the house, like Sir Jaffar did. Only difference is attitude. But with time, maybe he won’t be so aggressive in his environment. “Like a kid in a candy store “ he has broken a few things already.

Here are my 3 Buff Orps, who are actually 23 weeks old (hatch 22 April 2024).

Butters - she is a big suck who loves to cuddle.

Sweeti-pie, my sweetie who also loves to snuggle. She has very pale comb and wattles.

Goldie, not as much a snuggler but still a lovely chickie, and has a lovely fluffy butt.
