And the cochin mix I'm getting next week is also a glorious spotty dotty girl. Mom thinks her name will be "Cookie"

The leghorn mix has a couple speckles too it looks. Mom is thinking "Cream" for her name.

Offspring of the splash...if daddy ISNT splash, 100% guarantee to show blue anywhere that black would be, possibly all over blue with markings hidden under it, possibly having those markings bleed through in adult moults

@Sylvester017 I had a cat with dementia, she ended up jumping the fence during supervised outside time (with her arthritis I didn't realize she could get over the fence, I just wasn't fast enough). She ran down the road to where our old house was, and ended up being hit by a car. Very sad, she was an excellent cat.

That is so sad but sweet also that her long term memory knew where the old house was. Your kitty reminds me of my childhood kitty "Cindy Lee" who was also a tabby. She was very affectionate & not aloof like some cats can be.

In 1991 my DD had an all black kitty "LJ" that lived in my house for several years & whenever my little blue car came up the street if LJ saw my car she would run after me into my driveway waiting for my car to pull in. One day as I drove up the street she ran as usual into my driveway but I kept driving onward to my DD's new house on the same street. Poor LJ looked so confused sitting in my driveway all alone. She waited a few moments & when she saw me down the street getting out of my car she ran haltingly up to me. Poor baby looked confused looking back at my house wondering why the blue car was in a different place. It wasn't dementia but I did mess up her routine!

Pretty birds! But a Leghorn mix w/black face & legs? She'll be interesting to watch.

I am okay with this!

That sounds really cool too!

She is leghorn/red junglefowl. I think she looks really neat!
The little button ~ she's got the cutest face!
She does! She definitely has the silkie sassiness too, she's a little spitfire.

Hattie House is Back!

I finally completed cleaning up Hattie house. I disassembled the floor, scrubbed and bleached all the wood and then flamed all of the wire.

It's back in place and HRH has completed her inspection and approved the work!

Such a pretty coop! Do your neighbors mind your coop against the adjoining fence? Hen egg songs can be very loud. Our coop isn't against a neighboring fence but our hens have loud songs that carry far & it worries me. We have Silkes but their egg songs are just as loud as standard hens. So far no one has complained & likewise when they have loud noisy parties we don't complain either.
