Oh, I love them fluffy fuzzy butts!!! Those are the kind of pics I get as soon as the Silkies see the camera they RUN?! But nothing cuter than a fluffy butt on a 2-lb Silkie!

depth? Almost all snakes have extremely tiny teeth with only a couple exceptions. Eastern rat snake for an example. View attachment 3957636
And where did you get that statistics from? I know that those weren’t right but I just checked with multiple highly educated and experienced reptile keepers, one of which had been keeping for decades and has had well over a 100 snakes and all agreed that those statistics are completely untrue.
I’ll dig up some medical journals on animal injuries (look at medical journals not other reptile keepers)

I was just looking at these yesterday (a child here in Canada has died of Rabies 😢😢😢), I was looking at stats for wildlife / livestock encounters and injury.

Did you know that if a chicken pecks you in the eye, the Ophthalmologist will laugh at you and tell you ‘that’s a first for me’.

Found no stats on poultry juries….. had equine ones!

Clyde got a beating last night from Eli-too. She was furious! Poor Clyde.

I did the same thing, just watched and waited. Later I went back out and gave him a snuggle.

Is that orange coming the through his feathers? He is looking more like Mr P every day! Hope his toes aren’t crooked though!
Poor Clyde. Please you and George be smart boys.

I think any other color you see besides white is staining. The last week it has been a muddy mess. My back yard is still soup in some parts. That being said, when I was holding him he is another mass of pin feathers in his body. He is going through yet another juvenile molt. Color still could come in eventually. Rosie would be thrilled with some orange color and I know so would you. I look at George and I think he is perfect as a solid white rooster. His toes, perfectly straight. He makes me laugh with the way he walks. It has to be a polish thing. So prim and proper with a high step. He flings those toes up in the air like he had disdain in walking in wet grass. With every step he took I could hear "eww, eww, eww" going through his little brain.

Next Thursday the littles are 4 months old. Time has flown by. Yesterday evening was really the first time Momma Poppet took notice of them while they were out and about. They are almost as big as she is. I spent a good portion of my time outside trying to get a family photo of sorts.

I know I sound like a broken record, but these were bittersweet. It should be Branch, not Randy standing in the background watching like the proud Papa. He would have adored these chicks and been right in the middle of them all.
