I just got a vision of a giant dinosaur Silkie?!
I thought the same thingSomehow a terrible but catchy song about Big Butts comes to mind....
No, nothing definitive either way. I feel I am going cross-eyed staring at these chicks. You would also think at right at 4 months the boys would start crowing. Nothing, nada, zilch. George has not even attempted his first crow as of yet.So.....can you tell genders for certain on the little silkies yet?
And now thanks to you I have that song which I rarely if ever think about stuck in my head. I have a few more dishes to finish up and have it pulled up on youtube on the living room tv.There's a good idea off of it! I couldn't get past the original words
HRH has been training him in the last week's. He has been first to the backdoor to beg for treats and anytime there was the possibility for food she brought him with her. He is ready for his own ladies.I am so happy for Versace - that you found him a good home. He looks so magnificent in his traveling cage....but...shouldn't it be a golden cage for a man of his stature? I mean, really, HRH Aurora tended to him - he must be her nephew - so is royalty, you know!
And where are his attendants??? Or did they not want to spoil the picture of his lordship? All royalty must have an entourage of attendants to whisk in and serve their every need at a moment's notice
Seriously - he is a gorgeous boy, and, from what you have said, very sweet disposition. Such a wonderful gift to give/get!. And, given that HRH helped raise him, he will be quite wise in the way of chicken!
Nope. It's real. That's where mine comes from.I thought the 30,000 messages was a myth/joke!
I'm so glad you were able to resolve the tooth infection yourself. Beautiful photo of princess.![]()
That's great to know, resting is healing with a ton of garlic.
I've had an abscess in my gum, it was seriously painful. I almost screamed with my efforts of healing it. I crushed garlic and wrapped it around the gum and tooth.
I forced myself too bear the excruciating agony that came with it. Then I used warm salt water after cleaning my teeth with xylitol and peppermint toothpaste. Finally I used my magic little jug to clear out my nostrils with salt water.
The next day I found 3/4 of the abscess was gone I've added garlic to my meals ever since and there's no sign of this infection now and my tooth is solid in my gum again
We have some lovely birds in our thread. I'm thrilled with princesses new feathers. They won't be white for long though because she's been bathing in earth for half of today

He should stay white. White chickens are magical.Poor Clyde. Please you and George be smart boys.
I think any other color you see besides white is staining. The last week it has been a muddy mess. My back yard is still soup in some parts. That being said, when I was holding him he is another mass of pin feathers in his body. He is going through yet another juvenile molt. Color still could come in eventually. Rosie would be thrilled with some orange color and I know so would you. I look at George and I think he is perfect as a solid white rooster. His toes, perfectly straight. He makes me laugh with the way he walks. It has to be a polish thing. So prim and proper with a high step. He flings those toes up in the air like he had disdain in walking in wet grass. With every step he took I could hear "eww, eww, eww" going through his little brain.
How wonderful. I'm so glad he has a partner that chose him. Thank you so much for giving him a good home. The moment you've all been waiting for. Bab chose to be his settle-in-buddy, she was alllll over that fence looking at the new fella. He's bigger than Ric Flair so hopefully they decide to cooperate and be handsome fellas together.

And Versace was contemplating my leftover bbq from lunch.
