Sooo today was a not too bad day weather wise, the chooks were out all afternoon.

The one thing I noticed were that a number of my ladies are moulting, I had a chuckle at Buttercup who gave a good shake and a cloud of fluffy feathers flew off her.

Then there is Misty who is losing grey feathers everywhere she walks. And Fluffy has been filling the summer house with her white fluffy feathers.

And I am not sure which of the dark hens is leaving their feathers in Reenie’s stall!

There are feathers everywhere! No wonder my allergies are acting up.

Hopefully they grow those feathers back fast before this happens!

I’m wondering if pets mimic their owners? My rooster has a similar personality to my own. He is a rascal and very vocal. Rudy knows exactly what he wants! And the ladies follow him around everywhere.

Well I don’t go around losing feathers everywhere. But I do enjoy the odd meal worm in my oatmeal…..
