Nope

No rhyme nor reason. Fluffy my white silkie is moulting but unless you look close you wouldn’t know. She is full of pin feathers, under her fluff.

Henny Penny is starting a hard moult it looks like. She is shedding feathers everywhere!
None of our Silkies ever went bald ~ like your Fluffy we never knew a Silkie was moulting till we see pin feathers on the crest! However, our smooth feathered birds lost neck or tail feathers very noticeably.

Interesting on the compu-mice. I'm going to have to investigate for me.

Awww! I once had sisters.

If/when I get use of my broken arm again I'd like to order the Evoluent angled mouse next

Evoluent comes in left or a right hand style, different hand sizes, wired or wireless, & I like the pinky finger resting on the mouse rather than rubbing on the desk as the mouse slides. The Meetion brand I have now ($30) has the nice pinky & thumb rests too but the Meetion so far is left-hand only.

Evoluent $100 price range. Our IT friend recommends it highly

Come on, this one's even cuter!

I trim back Mr P’s every so often, I keep taking them back hoping to get them to a more manageable length, but they grow so fast and they are hard as cement!
When we treated our Dominique Dana for Bumblefoot last year she had long spurs on her legs. One foot was treated & after weeks of Epsom soaks & antibiotic foot wraps the spur scales softened & came off totally unexpected w/ each bandage change. Now she has one spur half the size of the other.

I don't believe I would ever trim a spur w/o a 1/2 hour foot soak first to make trimming easier on us & the hen. Dana is very calm & relaxed in the foot soaks. She's so relaxed she'll rest her tush on the edge of the soak pan.
