One of the things I really appreciate with your thread is the chit chat of chickens and no political jibber jabber.

I am not a citizen of the States and I do feel uncomfortable with that sort of talk, there are a few of us who are not American on this thread and we really don’t have any business making any comments regarding your homeland.

So thank you to each and every one of you on this thread, you all make this thread such a wonderful inclusive place to spend some time, let’s keep it that way

Mine believe I am a rooster. I still have to egg them on though. Usually I throw a rock that's on the ground at a piece of plastic and that is good enough to get them to move it.

In extreme cases I have a stuffed animal otter that I can throw at them and they will run faster than ever before. I only use this when they sneak off into areas they cannot go into (such as the former woodworking area. It's got a great fence but these sneaks know stuff they don't want me knowing.)

I have a red bowl, it gives them wings

Husband says y'all can help name this girl. I have been reinforcing their hawk cry by loudly saying "Hawk!"
So she needs a new one. She's just gorgeous and not a speck of glossy saddle feathers on her!

Ewwww! So far I haven’t had any of those.

The barn is fairly well enclosed and none of them is allowed to roam at will without me watching them so I feel pretty confident she is safe from going awol.
