Introducing: Butterbird and PEANUTbutterbird. Yes my toddler named her. She also said to share Shiba-san because she's the same color.

Butterbird is slightly larger than Peanutbutterbird but her comb/wattles are not as red.

They are beauties, mine are finally getting fluffy. You will see a big difference when they mature - they will be fluffy butts for sure!

The chooks are all using the Playground. They are also using the top level I just haven’t gotten any pictures yet

Tis the season for crazy weather it seems. High wind warnings out for here.

I didn’t even let my gang out when I got home - it was pelting down rain.

Hen House B is looking better now that I have more chooks in there. The oldest crew joined the youngest ones tonight.

The only ones left in the Summer House are Mr P and his silkies, Clyde, Georgie and the Little Chicken couple.

Soon they will also go into the Hen House, but not until the randy Roos are gone….

Ok, so tonight when I came home I noted that Laverne’s right side of her face was swollen in front of her eye and down under it.

I palpated it and she didn’t seem in pain, of course we all know chickens….

In the morning I will reassess and give some aspirin if it’s still swollen. I have no idea if it’s an injury or some infection brewing. But one things for sure I will be on her like a tick on Truly.

I’ll keep you all posted.
