Me too ~ maybe after this arm brace/splint is no longer hanging around neck & shoulders! Dr's ofc/ins dragging their feet to approve surgery. 7 months of a broken arm & still no resolution. 68 yrs ago when I had a broken ankle it was cast the same day as the break & in 12 wks I was healed & walking!
What and when did this deterioration of health care happen? I can't believe the ridiculous things that's happening to people today. It's scary
Those were the days when you didn't worry about insurance & picked the Dr or specialist & paid cash for services. Nowadays our choice has been taken away & insurance thinks they know more than you or your Dr ~ hrump!

DH brought Mika to me after she layed her brown egg

Two for Tuesday, me and Coco. She is supposedly Lety's dog.

How do you tell these two apart, Eli and Petunia?
Well Eli-too has a bit of wattles, and she is ‘taller’.

Petunia has a more puffy topknot and a beard and muffs. She also has brown feathers on her chest/breast.

Tippy has good wattles and and comb, she is easier to tell them apart.

Butterscotch and Muffy are different too, Muffy has a beard and muffs where as Butterscotch doesn’t 😊♥️

I made sure my stall doors and the barn doors were extra wide. Been places were the doorways were too narrow.

The barn doors open up so that the whole aisle width is available. I can get a tractor in the aisle way if I need to.

Tonight I will use my blue light on my headlamp and see how the photo turns out. Anything light or white is a funky colour with the blue light.

Next lesson:

Barring (or cuckoo depending upon the breed, dunno why on that) is white stripes across a colored feather.
Difference between Cuckoo and Barring in chickens

“Cuckoo” pattern, which Dominiques possess: In the main tail feathers of the male, the dark bars should be widely spaced and have the general appearance of an irregular “V”. This feather is from our Dom hen ~ the V strips don't all touch in the middle of the feather thus irregular:

Plymouth Rock "Barring" the strips run straight across the feather without the irregular V shape of a cuckoo pattern ~ the bars touch in the middle in a straight line

Rosie is at it again, trying to steal another of my chickens. She has claimed the new girl. I should let her have this win because while I was not able to catch her this morning and afternoon out in the pouring rain. She came right up to Rosie and let her pick her up.....brat. She sat out on the porch holding her for a good half hour as she talked about her stressful day. Chicken therapy, it works. She started out on the verge of tears over friend drama and when she was done she was calm, and happy after ranting and petting the chicken.

Rosie named her. I told her Vivvy gets to name her and she said Vivvy's name could be her middle name and she would use it when she was around.

Everyone meet Mrs. E, short for Ethel.

She claims she looks like a eagle and she needed something fitting of that.
