TG our climate is mild ~ I can't imagine the trouble it is to deal w/ice, snow, or freezing pipes!

Blueboy had the best butt. He died a few months ago to unknown causes. Just found in our yard and was only 2 years old.

Our BLUE Wheaten Ameraucana "Taffy" gave us BLUE eggs! When I ordered a Blue Wheaten I thought there would be more blue feathers? She was a sweetie though

W/ as many chickens as you want a nice investment (if you dont already have one) would be a digital scale for weighing chicks or weighing eggs , etc. I wimped out & didnt get a digital one & was sorry I didnt.

I have one from my days shipping plushies overseas.

Gorgeous! Finding him suddenly gone I can relate. Our gorgeous Blue Breda hen at 1-1/2 yrs old sat down to snooze & died right there. DH was outside to pick her up ~ she was still warm but gone. She was normal one day & gone in her sleep the next ~ no warning signs.
