Oh my goodness, George's true color is finally revealed.

Thanks to his head feathers which have finally lost a lot of their keratin coating I can confirm.

George is 100% without a doubt a splash!!!

He has at least 15 feathers in his poof that have black stripes on them. I thought he had mud in his feathers and tried to clean it off at first and then realized that nope, that is not mud. I looked him over and the black in his feathering is only contained in his head feathering right now. Am I right to think as he gets older and goes through more molts he could sport black feathers throughout his body?
Good question, Mr P has not developed any further spots as he has moulted so I am not sure if he is splash or has black leakage.

But I laughed when you described trying to clean him up. I did the same thing with Butterscotch and her orange feathers on her neck hahaha 😊

Yep!

The blue sulphate pentahydrate is some kind of copper derivative. Since bright radiant blue is not a natural food color I'm not into that chemical. Why is there so much copper listed by so many different names ~ it's so we don't see how much total copper is in the pkg! Copper & copper-related chemicals kills bacteria which extends shelf life ~ but it kills good gut genomes too! Mfr's hide the copper derivatives by some chemical names cuz we're too stupid/naive in not researching labels & us assuming mfr's care for us or our pets ~ they're only interested in the $$$ ~ & fool us into buying more of their deceptively labeled cr*p sickening us or our livestock/pets.

Tx - let's see if I can find some Monday mugs:

This one actually has correctly named breeds!!!

That’s a lovely mug 😊♥️

Hello everyone, I have had a really rough time this Christmas. I became very sick and bed ridden. I left my birds outside to free range and Rudy the rooster never came back home 😩 I almost lost Little CeeCee too, but she found her way home.
I should never have left my birds out unattended. I’m still feeling sickly, but losing my Rudy just makes it harder. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
I hope you feel better soon, hopefully Rudy has just gone out and about.

Take care of yourself ♥️

Awww, Alex. I am sorry to hear this and hope Rudy shows up. Get well soon!

Has anyone seen this guy? Missing a few days now. He’s my buddy and I miss him:View attachment 4017540
I've heard stories of chickens going missing for months and then coming back home like they were just on a routine trip to the grocery store. Fingers crossed that your sweet guy gets his fluffy butt back home soon!! :hugs

Got a new catalog!!!

And LOOK at these cornishes! I just messaged my buddy and asked if we should get some of each color

@bgmathteach you have the cornishes right?
Yes, I have the Dark Cornish - I haven't ever had the white laced red. From what I had read, those are a bit lighter (weight wise) than the Dark. But, regardless, I love my DC girls - and my DC boys have, so far, been very good boys, too. They are a bit more inclined to free range and scratch/hunt for their food than other breeds, and are definitely much happier free ranging or at least in a large pen.
