Nice photos. Are the black hens w/ dark eyes a Marans or hybrid layer. Those eyes are so pretty
TY for the roo pics! Is Mr Buff roo a gentleman too? The golden Buffs have a dreamy shine. Ijak is always good looking w/ the coveted Dom U-shape to his stance. Secretly, he's my roo!
He loves you! When they are around their humans they're comfortable & don't have the skulking posture. I love when they wrap their tail around their human's legs. They like to claim us by putting their smell on us
Grandma The Chicken
When I Pull Up, It's Silent
Today, I had Grandma embark on an adventure, and that is trying some whipped icing I bought yesterday. It's mint chocolate chip flavored and I think it's safe to say she doesn't like it. I don't think I'll be giving her any icing/frosting ever again.

Sweet baby, she probably spent a while cleaning up.
Once in a blue moon I'll give our birds a taste of organic strawberry or blueberry jam w/ no artificial "natural" chemical flavors or extra ingredients other than sugar & pectin. Yes, animals have a sweet tooth so no more than a taste.
Same w/ice cream ~ only a taste.

Sherlock wants to chase. If they don't run, he can't chase. We try not to let him chase. It wasn't his dew claw. He doesn't have any...never has. It was the outside toe nail...and seems to be healed.I'm in heaven w/ all the beautiful roo pics today

Oh, I love talkative birds ~ not the "squawk, squawk, squawk, gimme food" tone ~ but the cute dialogue that chitters back & forth w/ a sweet henA blast from the past mugshot.
My beloved Maggie who I am sure is not resting in peace but rather chattering up a storm.
