I was worried and I said prayers for her
TeeHee! No need to worry. We prayed w/the whole Oper Rm & Pre/Post Op staff at the hospital. They said prayer was great as they can always use the extra help :D !! & after surgery I never saw Doc so relieved & happy that I can still wiggle wrist & fingers. DH said Doc walked into the waiting room on Cloud Nine he was so happy w/ the success.

Mild downside is another 2 wks in a sling.

I think that someone on here uses a roll of furnace filter 'fabric' that they said last year worked well. ? @Sally PB ? maybe? I'm not sure. If so, I would imagine that it lets air through (needed as furnace filter), but would probably stop snow going through (and would imagine it would significantly reduce drafts from high winds - give more resistance than open space, but certainly not stop winds/air flow)
This is my fourth winter doing this, and it works VERY well.
Edit to add: maybe this is what ? @Sally PB ? uses? For some reason I had all white filter material in my mind. Somewhat reasonable for 7.5'
No, what I use reminds me of non-woven interfacing (from when I used to sew), only it's soft, not stiff. Maybe 1/16" thick?
Is she a jubilee Orpington, or a Speckled Suspect? She’s very pretty
Thank you! She's a Jubilee Orpington. No Suspects here. :gig

She is a very pretty hen.

I have 2 suspects who are definitely eye candy. They were beauties before their first adult molt. They have came out of it even more stunning.

I love the personalities of the buff orps I have been blessed to have. If I ever come across some Jubilee chicks I am snatching up a pair.

Georgie and the dumplings

Today I had mama and the kids out in the summer house most of the day, running with Mr P and his ladies. Everyone got along pretty well, it wasn’t too miserably cold so I felt ok leaving them out there. The kids are big enough to run away from the bossy ladies, and Georgie unlike Fluffy and Henny doesn’t go looking to pick fights with everyone who looks at her kids. Everyone pretty much just ignores each other.

If it wasn’t so cold I would just leave them in the summer house all the time but it’s just so darn chilly. Anywhooo I have a plan to put up a small pen and hang the new sweeter heater in it for mama and the kids.

Kids just wanna have fun!
