Coco missed me so much, she jumped off her perch onto my head. She obviously wanted something from me. I took her in the house and fed her some leftovers

@Ponypoor ~ good job w/Laverne ❣️
Thanks - it helps that she is super friendly and quiet. She is a sweetie.

But a real pest at times! She likes to get under foot all the time! And she sneaks into the stalls when I try to feed the horses 😊 getting under foot yet again!

It's official! Everybody is laying! :wee

Gytha was on the nest this morning when I opened the coop, on 2 eggs, one of which was Sybil's. Later, Magrat and Esme were both in the nest, I watched Magrat lay her egg and Esme rolled it under herself with her own egg. Aliss was screaming her head off during all of this, then I heard some egg song a while ago, and I just found that egg in the nest.

:celebrate:wee:ya
That is awesome! Congrats! :yesss::highfive:

You are quite the nurse. Well done. :highfive:
Thank you 😊 bandages were always fun for me to do. I learnt early how to bandage amputated toes, feet and limbs. There is an art to doing a good bandage over a stump.

Have to say though, a wee chickens toe is rather a delicate thing to work with! Good thing Laverne is quiet.

Design Flaw

There always seems to be something I have overlooked in my coop design.

Check out the icicles on the coop roof.

In this instance the metal roof seems to have exacerbated the bad placement of the latch on the nestbox of the main coop. It should not be on the roof but rather on the side. Otherwise you need a hammer to dig out the latch so you can collect eggs.

I need to move the latch when it warms back up. Oh well. :oops:
Oh no, Bob! I’m sorry, but I have to laugh a little at this. I know… sooo not fair since we don’t get that kind of weather.
