@Marie2020 ~ You aren't the only one who mysteriously loses messages or emails on your phone. I don't do internet on a phone ~ I use a laptop & I lose stuff all the time. Sometimes I type a long message & it disappears even if I save it in draft & a couple hours later it mysteriously reappears. Other times I've lost emails never to be found again. Most of the time my one-finger typing is too tired to do it all over again. My techy DH watches me & says I'm doing everything right except sometimes glitches happen ~ they're computers!

Then I am not alone :)

Sigh, today I have felt blah. Ear twinges every now and then, achy as the day progressed and once again for the most part no energy. I took a nap and woke up congested in my sinuses. Everyone in the house is finally on the mend and past their contagious period. I cannot and will not come down with the flu. I am being paranoid right now. I can explain away everything I'm feeling. I am physically and mentally exhausted still from the nightmare that was last week and the weekend. I hurt because well, I'm 40 and it has snowed all day long and freezing.....I'm supposed to hurt a little bit. Head congestion, allergies, and they are acting up.

What I cannot explain away and is worrying me is my blood sugar. It started off perfect at 103 this morning. All I have ate today is 2 pieces of toast and a scrambled egg. My sugar has slowly crept up as the day has passed. Pump corrections are not budging it either. 215 currently.

I'm telling myself it is stress, stress can wreck your blood sugar readings, so can pain. I'm not getting sick, I refuse to get sick.
:hugs:hugs
As @BY Bob Already said. Please rest up. You need to re-energize yourself. You cannot keep battling around. Let others help you

I'm still in therapy to regain use of my right hand/fingers after surgery. I know how to type well, believe me ~ I was a VP secretary for many years at 80 wpm on a manual typewriter in the 1960's & took shorthand at 120 wpm. The only reason I can type one-handed at present is cuz I know the old keyboard so well. The occupational & physical therapies for my right arm, elbow, wrist, & fingers continues into March so using both hands for typing is a slow work in progress. My right hand still can't pull up my britches on my right side :idunno

Currently I cannot even use a pen for writing cards & letters I used to love doing cuz elderly relatives aren't tech savvy for online contact. TG there is phone contact but even then some of the elderly just let their landlines go to voicemail cuz of robo-calls. So writing to them has been important to me.

But I am truly thankful you have been concerned for me. This old mind is still active but the body doesn't keep up as fast ~ I'm sorry to say. Bless you for your advice & thoughtfulness 🤗
I hope you heal soon. But please take your time. Sadly nothing in our bodies heal automatically.

Sending you healing thoughts and a big hug :hugs:hugs

I need tax on this one. 🚨
I’m supplying the comic relief for this thread, but yet you still demand that I give pictures of my chickens butts. I’m not sure, but maybe there’s something wrong with that! IMG_4944.jpeg

Well, second change of plans: Chicks have been ordered! Coming from Mount Healthy on March 24th or 25th. Meyer was out of what I wanted until August. There's been a run on chicks, so I ordered from Mount Healthy now basically to assure that I can get them at all. And the order grew, because of order minimums, to:
  • 2 Chocolate Orpington hens
  • 1 Chocolate Orpington Rooster
  • 2 Easter Egger hens
  • 2 Barnevelder hens
  • 1 Buff Orpington hen
  • 1 Blue Australorp hen
  • 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte hen
All in all, very excited! We now have three months to start and finish the coop. Luckily, we had a friend offer to help us build who worked in construction. Now, to expand the plans. Chicken math is no joke! I originally thought 6 was a good number, now it's 11 if they send an extra, which they often do!:th

I was VERY pleased with my entire experience when I ordered from them.

I ordered 4 pullets, got 5 pullets. Cute little flufferbottoms. :)

Oh man-I forgot about your hand issue. I hope it gets well soon.

I don't think I can hit 80wpm yet. Still need some practice, but I type so much that it'll happen eventually.

Grab and Smash!

It has been a very long time since Cheese Its have been a chicken treat at FBA. They are my favorite training tool but a chicken has to know what they are.

This became clear to me today when I went to share some with the ladies. Aster has no idea what they were. She knew they must be good to eat but couldn't even figure out how to eat them. Watch as Aurora shows her the proper way to eat a Cheese It.

Grab and Smash

Gentle does not work.

That sounds like a royal way of eating.
