How did you happen to name her "Betty"

By Bob had a lovely frizzle Polish hen named Betty, when my chick hatched I started calling her Betty - I could tell she would be frizzle as her wing feathers were already curling at hatching. I hope and prayed she would be a she - and she was! I asked Bob if I could use the name Betty

Now I keep getting her and Daisy's name mixed up - and they don't even look alike! I have started calling both Betty Daisy Eyes (betty davis eyes) hahaha.

Betty is moulting now, hopefully soon she will be back to looking like a peony

From what I've read, you can keep chicks with up to a two week age difference and be okay. I'm watching them closely though just in case!
I also ordered a popup brooder that is the same length, but deeper and taller than the lizard cage. Should be here before my eggs hatch.
I really want the snow to melt and ground to thaw, even if just for a day or two. That way I can dig up the lilies next to the porch, and start the new coop.
I don't think the chicks will be able to go outside for a while yet.

The long term forecast for here (next 2 weeks) is a return to really cold weather and more snow. It's not supposed to have any noticeable change until April.

Need to have a word with Clyde the Prognosticator of Candlemas Day. His prediction for an early Spring was slightly off!

Hopefully the weather forecast is wrong and I will be able to do this.

I have seen both those. Or just Betty.
