Wind driven snow is like sand - it gets into everything. But it looks like you have pretty much got it mostly solved.

Sometimes it’s just next to impossible to stop drifting, and you have to just accept the fact it’s as good as it can get.

From what I can see it looks like you did a darn good job ♥️
I think she did a barn good job 👍🏼

Chicken eyelashes? Not really ~ maybe some teeny tiny feathers over the eyelid but not truly eyelashes like an ostrich or a secretary bird.

So what do the birds have instead of eyelashes? They do need to protect their eyes somehow right?

For the protection of their eyes, they have a perfectly built system that consists of extra eyelids that act like a built-in goggle.

So they have the upper and the lower lids just like us, and then an extra eyelid beneath the outer eyelids, which is called the nictitating membrane.

It comes down like a visor in a car to protect the eyes of the bird from foreign airborne particles.

Seems like they close their eyes when they peck at feed :idunno

They are scared to death of me, (unless I have treats.)

Mama has returned to her littles. The integration of chooks here is crazy at perch time in the evening.
Looks like they want to kill each other, but that’s just the way of the chicken.
Nacho’s littles names are:
Queso (cheese)
Pueno ( jalapeño )
Frijole (bean)
Can you tell them apart?
