This afternoon I had a huge fright - the chooks did also.

I opened the back door a bit so they could go out if they wanted to, it was around 0C so I figured I would let them dig around on Mount Poopmore.

Well I no sooner had turned my back when they went out when there was a huge uproar and they were all coming rushing back trying to get inside crashing through the door just in a panic!

I ran and shoved the door open so they could get inside and ran out fully expecting to see a predator of some sort out there, I frantically looked around up and down… but I couldn’t see anything other than 2 crows flying leisurely away.

Ok so was that it? Were the crows up on Mount Poopmore and when the chooks came out they were startled and flew away? In the process scaring the living daylights out of the chooks?

Seems to be the only thing I could think of. A head count when I put them to bed had everyone accounted for.

It was a wake up call though for me, if the crows are hanging out on Mount Poopmore then the chooks will no longer be able to go out there. I can’t take a risk in them catching AI.

Dear Queen Aurora, please investigate the mystery of CC's phone. The camera quit on her last week, and we ordered a new used phone for her. It is supposed to arrive today. However, the old phone's camera started functioning again. What could have caused this?
Gremlins.

Or maybe Curly fixed it

I’m not sure what is happening with Nacho. I caught her in a laying box, but I can’t see where such big eggs fit into her tiny body. Maybe she was just acting as surrogate to the other girls. Maybe she is in lay too :idunno
What colour of eggs do her breed lay? Mrs LC lays a lovely pearly pink egg.
