I love those daffodils! Do they attract bees or Hummingbirds? I do love the many beautiful varieties of iris too but I've never been a good bulb gardener. Spring is so fresh. Can't wait to see our Lavender Rosea bloom:

The males are usually lighter in color or have larger white head spots than the females

Just about any crossbreed bird w/a barred/cuckoo cross will be auto-sexed.

Very interesting. I wondered if auto-sexing and sex-link were the same thing. Now I know they're not!

Ok, so I believe these are my two "crested legbar" hatches, the brown one does look like a male legbar chick, the black and white one does not. However, I am 90% sure these were my legbar eggs, aqua blue.

This one 100% came from a blue egg, it hollered the whole dang time it was zipping and coming out. However, it looks a lot like the barred rocks from when I was a kid (that was like 25 years ago or longer so maybe not accurate)

I told hubby to pick up bedding without me. Local Family Farm and Homes apparently are putting out bantam cochins today and I would not be able to pass them up. I NEED cochins goshdangit. Big ones, little ones, I need my bowling balls of love.

There will soon be a law against gorgeousness like these babies. They are irresistible

Beautiful brown eggs!

Silkie eggs are unpredictable from cream to almost brown but once a Silkie lays a color she keeps that color all thru her years.

Until yours I had never heard of them laying white eggs. Mine lay pink, and peach (as you know I guess ).

TY 4 asking ~ Surgeon removed restrictions for lifting but therapy exercises are needed to build up strength & mobility. Still have to use Bone Stimulator another 2 months. 4 therapy appts per week for 6 weeks & my house looks like a gymnasium w/all the little exercise gadgets DH gets me each time he sees what the therapists use on me ~ teehee

I still can't hold a Silkie but DH brings one in daily for me to give treats & pet. Adorable little buggers!
