Hmmmm so 1/4 tsp is 1000mg (1g).
I only need 50mg! Hmmmmm this is complicated.
Well I went and ordered a kitchen scale that does mg weight on Amazon, so should be here tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives early.
In the meantime I will think about dosing the whole flock. It’s 500mg/L so I can do 2000mg (2g) easily, and fill up my 4L container. That would be 1/2 a tsp - easy enough to measure out.
I can always syringe that mixture into Clyde to make him get some.
I can always waste any eggs if I don’t feel comfortable finding a definitive answer to the egg withdrawl.
Show us a picture of the label!
Agree with all of these!1/8 to 1/16 is divided by 2. 500mg to 50mg is divided by 10. Something's off in the calculation thing.
I did more searching and came up with this from Eggcessive, which makes clear you really need to know the density of what you bought

"Most people use 1 tsp per gallon of water if you have the full strength powder. Give it for 3-5 days. Do you have a picture of the product? Some pigeon suppliers sell some less strong powders. I use recommend Jedds.com, since theirs is full strength. This is the picture of the full strength:

Be sure to mix is by adding water to the powder, or it won’t mix very well. Change it every 3 days. Do not treat birds who do not have symptoms. You can separate the birds who need it in a dog crate with food and medicated water for treatment. Tylosin treats mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG,) but does not treat diseases causes by viruses or mold fungus."
