I have my rooster buddy figured out. He’s the big tough guy in front of his ladies, but when he’s alone with me, he’s just a sweet multi colored marshmallow:View attachment 4083391
Woah, now hang on a second here. Just days ago this type of behavior was deemed "Not normal chicken behavior" and excluded Barbosa as being a "real" chicken.

Now which is it? Is he a gremlin like Barbosa or is he a real chicken. Depending on your answer Barbosa could also become a real chicken.

Had to recapture Delft when I went to refill the food and water just a bit ago. She's speedy!

3rd picture down, oh it is bringing back the memories. I cannot do a 4th rooster, but, the urge is there to take a road trip. Now that is a example of a young BCM cockerel. He is giving Bubba vibes. Without even seeing him from the front I can already tell you he is a wide little dude and will be built like a brickhouse as a adult. His hackle markings are already coming in as well. Is he one that is just 4 weeks old as well? If so in the next 2 weeks his copper coloring will start appearing along his shoulders and back. Look at the feet, very nicely feathered feet. I like this chick.....I want this chick. If you do not keep him, someone on here needs to get him so we can watch him grow up. Yes @RoyalChick I'm looking at you. He could backcross with Tassels to make 2nd generation olive eggs. He would produce Olive eggers with calypso and the legbar girls.

Missed you!

However, as a parent, I'm going to ask you to respect their wishes re: social media and NOT go behind their backs. As a teen, it's difficult. You want to spread your wings yet are feeling their restrictions. Going behind their backs, though, damages your relationship with them long term. You will be an adult sooner than you think. Building the trust with your parents can change the dynamics of your relationship with them in a good way, also. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
I completely understand what you're saying. I can always have @notabitail post messages for me every once in a while... I just miss actually talking to you guys.

Hi :frowPTR! 51 chickens is great if they free range but if cooped in a run it depends on whether they have 10 to 20 sq ft for each bird. You have 51 birds now?
I had a whole reply typed out explaining my chook situation, and I accidentally deleted it. :he
Yes, there's free ranging involved. 21 of them are still teeny chicks, but they will be free ranged, along with seven(?) of my adult chooks. I also have different large sections of my coop and run blocked off so that different groups have room.

Also, @Ponypoor, not all of them have names... I'd say, 25 don't

I’m going to pray that Barbosa becomes a real chicken someday. 🙏 for now Barbosa will just have to remain the pirate I take him for! 🏴‍☠️
