Pooh the BraveI just checked the species list on the nearby wildlife refuge and they list the Snowy Owl as an ‘accidental’ - meaning only seen once or twice. I have definitely never seen one.
They do list no fewer than 11 species of hawk, eagle, and osprey as regular visitors!

I miss him dearly, as well as the rest of the flock.
I really liked @Sylvester017 trick with using coverage to deter air predators from swooping down so easily.I just checked the species list on the nearby wildlife refuge and they list the Snowy Owl as an ‘accidental’ - meaning only seen once or twice. I have definitely never seen one.

They are adorableI too am playing a waiting game with my silkie chicklets. No crowing yet at 15 weeks.
And who knows how long to wait for an egg, Rebecca’s pullet was just shy of a yr when she laid her first egg!
In the meantime they are cute and precocious, and moulting!

It’s hilarious isn’t it? They have the same feed in their feeder no doubt but the garage feed is better right?Sometimes they come on into the garage.....they know the feed bins are in there
They really are, we have a large murder here and I don’t mind all the cat food they steal at all. They are hands down the best arial defense my chickens have. It’s a fair trade for sure.Crows are a great hawk deterrent.
They are so adorable. I could stare at those little not-a-chickens all day long. Some chick pics, just because.

I was not already looking at all the colors they come in .. I wasn't .. honest .. you believe me right??They are so adorable. I could stare at those little not-a-chickens all day long.
They may not be real chickens but lets give a year, two at max. Half your flock or more will consist of fake chickens.
