Congratulations Rosie! Good show!Whohoo ACT results came in late last night. Rosie took it for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago. First time around she got a composite score of 16. This time the composite score is 20. 20 is good enough for a few of the colleges she is looking into. She is taking it 2 more times in the next year. Her guidance counselor told her 21 is the magic number but the higher she can get it the better the scholarships available to her.
She also has a new interest beside forensics. A Morehead State University rep has been to the high school a few times this year and she talked to them. She found out they have a Aeronautics program. My child is now talking about building and designing air planes or spaceships.
I am ok with this school. I like it actually. Morehead is about a hour and a half to a hour and 45 minutes away. This one would give the the "going off to college" experience that she needs but still she is close to home if a emergency happened.

It's corn and lima beans mixed together.Nope, was going to look it up but haven’t had a chance - yet! If it’s food I am all for it!
Great photo. You can just feel the dinosaur in her.But in their heads they remember their ancestry when they were even taller than that.
They are all T-Rex at heart.

I have been wanting to do this for some time now. I knew once I started doing this there would be no going back. So I am now diving in and I hope you all enjoy coming along for the ride.
First of all let me tell you how we view our flock as that will help you to understand why we treat them like we do.
Our birds are our pets and we treat them as such. We do not care if someone is not laying eggs. They are welcome to stay at Fluffy Butt Acres until they pass naturally. (Now don't go telling them that! I would hate for word to get out) We do thoroughly enjoy the fresh eggs.
I plan to tell stories from the past as well as from today. I hope you all enjoy and will share stories of your flocks as well.
Neat name we call our dwarf colchins fluffy butts so aptView attachment 1633786

lovelyOur other two residents came to us in April as chicks. My wife raised them until they moved outside and then they became my responsibility.
Hattie is our lavender orpington hen. She has not starting laying yet but i expect she will once the days turn longer.

Jabberwockie, Jabber for short, was supposed to be an Easter Egger hen, however, he is clearly not a hen.

That's about how far from home I was when I went to college. It's far enough you don't come home every weekend so that's good if that is the experience she is looking for.Whohoo ACT results came in late last night. Rosie took it for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago.
