“Chicken focus”? I don’t let my chickens anywhere near my camera equipment. (Just saying)I don't need anything deleted. I just want to maintain a chicken focus.
YepI think he said she had a broken toe at one time & limps on that foot?
He must compensate for his size.He is full of himself that’s for sure!
Funny thing, they don’t sell replacements for damaged covers? We witnessed someone's popup canopy blow across 8 lanes of freeway! Our gusts get anywhere from 65 to 100 mph here ~ what a mess! We bury all our popup frame legs in the ground so we lose only the covers:

Well if you ever convince your dad you need a roo, perhaps we can arrange Slowpoke moving in with you. Or...on the off chance Yeti is a boy...Yeti and Slowpoke are my favorites so farGORGEOUS chickies!
I know! I was very lucky with these chicks, they're all so lovely. And Pokes...dang Pokes got a glow up!!!My favorites are Slowpoke (because I love a good underdog-wins-out back story) and Navy who is very pretty, and Squatch (because I have a thing for big black fluffy chickens).
Then there is Cemani with those eyes
So many to pick from!
I thought about calling him Wisteria but he already responds to SlowpokeSlow poke is actually looking lavender....
Thank you!!!Wow! They sure have grown up havent they? You have a beautiful flock in the making there![]()
Thanks! And yes, I have told Periwinkle to "pose for Sylvester!"HiPeriwinkle!
They've always been pretty chicks but they are turning into gorgeous juvenilesalmost adults.
Is lavender also called a self-blue? or does self-blue mean that two lavender parents will always breed true? Lavender & self-blue are terms I wasn't aware of when we started w/backyard birds 14 yrs ago. Then terms like pearl, mille fleur, porcelain, exchequer, etc, were new terms to me too.
Good to know!I think so. It isn't the same as Blue black splash, but it does do a wash type dilution. It affects red colors also. That's where the Isabella color comes from.
They're supposed to. Lavender (unlike blue) will hide, so if 1 parent is lavender and the other isn't, the black (or red I think) that's ordinarily washed by the lavender pops instead. However, that offspring can throw lavender babies when bred with a lavender bird. They will also throw more "split to lavender", hiding it again. 2 splits breeding can also throw lavender, more splits and some that don't carry the lavender, making it difficult to tell which are which. So 2 Isabella parents breed true the way 2 lavenders do? So fascinating all these gene variants/mutations![]()
