Clyde got another dose this morning. He started up his wheezing and sneezing as soon as he got down from
The roosting ledge and started chasing the girls around.

I’ll keep him on this for a few days and see how he does.

I hope he improves quickly.

Chick #2 is out. It has had about 2 hours to dry up some and I now have 2 blues!! A 3rd egg has a good size pip and looks to be starting the process of trying to zip. I give it another hour or so. 6 more pips that I know of. I do not see myself sleeping much tonight. I will be creeping on the progress of those eggs.

Well just checked the camera and Clyde is ‘toodling’ about as Sylvester017 would say. He likes his grey lady girl friends (Patches and Silver Bird) and hangs with them. Tried for a picture but he ran off before I could get one.

Mr P and his gang are busy digging through straw.

And the horses are enjoying the green grass which has all of a sudden decided to grow. The leaves on the trees are popping out also finally.

Oh dear. My favorite doorbell has revealed an issue.
Two black beauties enjoying wild water.
Why is there so much wild water?
Oh no! The chickens have dug up and disconnected the pipe that is supposed to channel the sump pump water out into the field.
So the sump pump water is coming out into that part of the run.
Wish I could remember where the join is.
This is not going to be a fun repair. I will have to remove the HWC roof and will still need to excavate on my hands and knees.

My parents are getting their pipes replaced for the septic, and the chickens are NOT happy. They are used to the sounds of my dad's workshop, but I guess the smells today have them concerned. It...isn't great smelling out there haha.
Marble has been giving the boys lessons in how to be nice to the ladies, he even ran over to thump Cadet for grabbing poor Yetis head and yanking feathers.

I like the way that Marble goes about his business. He's a good one. I'm glad you're boys are getting good instruction.

TY ~ we can't have a roo so I learn from other owners. It seems there's an awkward cockerel stage that maybe I'm glad we'll never experience. We've only had 2 mistaken cockerels in 14 yrs & the one I really wanted to keep just crowed too much ~ he was a Silkie gentleman & forever on flock alert at only 7 months...but we had to give him up in our suburbs before we got any complaints.

We had to get rid of Jabberwocky as well. Can't keep them in a suburban setting.
