The doctor said that it’s possible that I might be bipolar. I said that’s impossible, my other self lives in Miami! :D
I've known several bipolars over the yrs & was married to one before. The many I've known/encountered were quite intelligent or booksmart but none of them had a sense of humor ~ they were either compulsive obsessive, manic depressive, anxious worriers, hypochondriacs, schizophrenic but on timed medication which made them mellow, had attention deficit flitting from subject to subject in conversations, rowdy attention seekers & more self-centered on what they had to say rather than listen, anger issues out of control, lapsed memory, etc...but none of them had a true sense of humor. And the ones that were on meds were feeling better so they decided they didn't need to continue meds & fell back into depression.

I hope it isn't so that you're bipolar but if the Dr diagnoses you then you'd be my first bipolar acquaintance w/a sense of witty humor‼️First time for everything, I guess :idunno

A Chicken Commotion

I was away from home at a company meeting last week and Mrs BY Bob complained that the chickens made such a racket every day she was constantly going out to check on them.

Well this happened again the first day I was home and I went out to investigate. As soon as I got outside they quieted down. This really galled Mrs BY Bob as even when she went out they kept at it.

What happens is that the 3 older ladies and Lady Featherington only roam the portion of the yard that is covered by trees, being, or the grape vines. Aster has no such restrictions. She is all over the yard.

Every so often Aster loses track of the others and calls out. When she does this, the others won't answer her. They ignore her. So she keeps calling. When I go out, Aster runs to my side. I walk to the others and the group is reunited.

So this morning blessed racket engulfed the backyard. It was Aster again but it was for a different reason. Check it out.

You poor sap! Oh, wait! That's what I said to Hector! Nellie drove Primula off her chosen nest site (Nellie didn't want it, but her site was occupied by PITA), then out of the coop. Primula was bringing Hector back with her when I stepped out of the coop....

I was a bully and shoved Navy, Red, and Delft into the tall coop with Marble and Buffy. It's supposed to get down to 28 tonight so they could use the extra feathers in there. They were not happy but oh well.

I hopefully fixed the incubator alarming out...staying up for a bit just so I can be sure. I think the paper towel was causing fan backflow so I flattened it out, but now I'm worried it won't be able to evaporate from the basin as well.

It is good for your business but sad really. Those nice neat manicured yards are pretty without any weeds but not for me. My yard is full of *weeds* but it is good for the bees, horses, chickens and frankly people. I have dandelions, thistle, plantain and several other edible weeds or greens that my grandmother called weird names. Speckle dock or speckle dick, she used both variations for the same plant and I forget some of the rest but I know the plant when I see it. Every spring for the last 13 years when she was not physically able to get down on the ground herself she would grab a chair to sit in the middle of the yard and point. I would fill up a 13 gallon trash bag or two for her of wild greens to cook. She would cook them like she did mustard from her garden. Some I liked, dandelions and the blue thistle are very tasty on their own. Some to me were a bit bitter and I could do without. Back then it was a bit annoying, but I never complained. I also learned how to cook them as well. Last week I was out in the yard and out of the blue I spotted a thistle. I then started looking and there everything was, all of it up and enough to easily fill up a garbage bag. I came very close to grabbing a knife and grocery bag and start picking away. I miss doing that now, and I almost craved a bowl full of it.
Such a wonderful memory. :hugs :hugs :hugs
