Chick Update
I started this at around 10 AM, so my apologies for the delay. It has been quite a busy and hectic day. As requested by @Ponypoor, I decided that you all deserve a chick update. I mean, why not. I won't gatekeep how the chicks are doing.
I will say my health hasn't gotten much better. Every morning, I wake up feeling nauseous (I haven't thrown up) and lately, I've had a slight headache. It doesn't bother me too much but I can't tell if it's a headache or lightheadedness. I just drank turmeric mixed with water. Huge mistake. I can't just keep taking Tums and Tylenol. My education is important, so staying at home is not an option. And yes, I have been sleeping well.
So continuing with the little chicks, here they are now. I still can't decide what their names should be. For the Andalusian, I have either Charcoal, Raven or Footsie and for the Americana, I have Blondie or Shakira.

I do have videos of them, which I might have tomorrow, if I have the chance.
Moving on to the older chickens, look at these two troublemakers, thinking they can just go on the sidewalk, make a mess and get away with it. Have you learned nothing?

I didn't really talk much about the little chicks since not much seemed to happen, but I'll discuss more tomorrow. Have a good night everyone.

Oh my! Yeah I really hope it's something other than chickens. I was able to get hypoallergenic body wash at the store yesterday, that was nice to not have to use an ivory soap bar. it's so drying!

Tax, here are the little darlings about ready to move outside to the heated coop.
Definitely not used to leghorns, they're so active and look at the combs already!!! Maybe these girls will have big flopover ones.

And then there's Dream, so tiny in comparison. Hubby asked if she's staying with the newborns when they hatch, so I need to think about that for a bit.

Naw, you’ll sit around for a while, but then you’ll want a new purpose. You’ll get some part time job or start a new business (trust me, retirement isn’t for the faint of heart)

Hi everyone. Work has been crazy busy. Caught a stomach bug and salmonella around first of April and wasnt able to keep anything down. Just now getting my strength back. Nothing like being dehydrated and malnutrition for 3 weeks to zap your energy. Hope everyone and their chooks are well. I look forward to trying to catch up.

So sorry about the salmonella. I'm glad you are in the mend. You have been missed around these parts.

Periwinkle would like to submit her beard for consideration by HRH Aurora. She knows she's only half chicken but she is hoping that her feathers are beautiful enough to qualify for her approval.

Lety has found a color pattern with her bantams that the locals love. She sells them as fast as she can raise them. She has probably sold over 20 this year. I'll see if i can get some pics.

I put all the kids away into the coop/run. But I opened the run door for the integration process to begin! Only one little chick was scared to be with the rest. Now it’s time to start naming these beauties. This one only wants to be with me!
