Yeah this one is so tiny! I feel like there's hardly any room to hatch with those egg cartons in there, but they're also doing a good job of keeping the eggs upright and not kicked around. To be fair, it's going to do one more hatch after this one and then I'm hoping I'll have broody hens to take over hatching and raising chicks for me.

I’ve been using hens for brooding so long that I never needed an incubator. But I’ve also lost a lot of chicks that deserve life. I’ve always wanted a Brisnea product for their superior performance, but hard as I try, my cute chicken pictures are just not good enough to warrant a win. Ever since I’ve been with BYC, Purina feed has been selling even more.
What I’m trying to say, is that I don’t need a free Brisnea, but would like to have my beautiful innocent baby chicks recognized for something!!

If those are truly pure White Leghorn they will definitely develop floppy combs ~ the 1st year not so huge but by 2 yrs full-on Veronica Lake resemblance & a pain to deal w/during freeze weather. Wonderful active lightweight forager & very good at minding her own business in the flock.

Now times that by 10 and you have my barn! Last weekend I had a line up literally of 4 hens waiting for one nest box they all like. There are 11 nest boxes but they only like three of them. Crazy birds!

It's just crazy how it has to be that 1 box. No matter how many their are. I have 6 for them to choose from.

Chick Update
I started this at around 10 AM, so my apologies for the delay. It has been quite a busy and hectic day. As requested by @Ponypoor, I decided that you all deserve a chick update. I mean, why not. I won't gatekeep how the chicks are doing.
I will say my health hasn't gotten much better. Every morning, I wake up feeling nauseous (I haven't thrown up) and lately, I've had a slight headache. It doesn't bother me too much but I can't tell if it's a headache or lightheadedness. I just drank turmeric mixed with water. Huge mistake. I can't just keep taking Tums and Tylenol. My education is important, so staying at home is not an option. And yes, I have been sleeping well.
So continuing with the little chicks, here they are now. I still can't decide what their names should be. For the Andalusian, I have either Charcoal, Raven or Footsie and for the Americana, I have Blondie or Shakira.

I do have videos of them, which I might have tomorrow, if I have the chance.
Moving on to the older chickens, look at these two troublemakers, thinking they can just go on the sidewalk, make a mess and get away with it. Have you learned nothing?

Honestly room, game chooks can be trained to be lap chooks. I almost have Nacho trained, but one of her chicks, is already waiting on a name! I thought about Marie, my plane is already named after her. Crazy that they both can fly!
