I think I would need to go the 'in their water' route. Can you imagine me trying to dose each of nearly 100 birds 1 by one... AND keeping track of which ones were dosed versus not? It would be hard to get them one by one out of the coop without some escaping!

Just the silkies 😁

Actually - I usually 'dose' with pumpkin seeds. Chop them up some (food processor), weigh, and mix in feed daily for ?3 days?, the again 10 days later. I do that every fall.

Once i dosed with pellets - but I didn't like that at all - I was so uncertain each chicken would get dosed!
(mix 1 lb with 313 lbs of feed ....given how chickens will pick though and how little they eat - given the ratio- I was not very confident about it.)

I would love to have access to a liquid doser!!!! (But it needs to be over the counter - I don't have a poultry vet, so no one to prescribe for me.)

You should be able to get Panacur / fenbendizol at any livestock feed store, for goats / horses.

It’s 3ml in a gallon (3.7L) of water for 3 days, repeat in 2 weeks.

Here one can get a 500ml bottle of it, should be the same were you are.

I get mine from my Vet as he gets me small amounts (50 ml) as a 500ml bottle would last me forever!!!

I worm 2 times a yr, Spring (May usual) and Fall (Nov). If I see worms in poops I worm again.

I move Truly's out yesterday, they are disgusting and smelly, and they must weigh over 100lbs. At 5x7' and 1/2" thick they are not light!
Moving those mats is such a pain. We have a lot of them. Some are in front of the coop/kennel, and I always dread when to is time to dig them out from under the accumulated mud/dirt to get them back on top again where the do some good. I always have to try to flip one end over and then drag by the fold.

Great job on the chicken run! & the duck pond is too too gorgeous... how do you clean/drain it cuz ducks muddy new water in less than a minute?!
We use a portable sump pump to drain it, and use the water for the garden.

That looks GREAT! What did you use for the pond? A premade pond?
It’s actually a water trough that we buried. For a really good deal on one that was only 1’ tall and buried it. I just wish it was bigger around. We will probably end up having to replace it someday but I can’t find anything affordable that is about 5’ in diameter, no more than 18” deep, and not galvanized.

Here’s a picture before we buried it.

They seem to enjoy lounging on the new blocks.

Coco has been doing really well with them. This was “almost” an awesome photo. She had all five on her back, but she started to stand up and they moved right as I took it.
