This was just before the puff! Navy always grumbles and makes skraa sounds so I'm not surprised.

I love the orange and blue colouring - really quite a nice contrast, very exotic looking.

I think Alex is getting the ‘colourful’ chicken vibe happening. It’s quite the flock he has going on there with stripes spots dots and patches. Needs more topknots now in the mix!

Do you have enough broodies to foist the babies onto?

I am actually shocked no one else here has been ‘you know what’. I keep expecting Holly to, but so far she hasn’t. Might be thinking on it though.

It’s way too hot and humid here to be bro… errrr, ‘you know what’.

In order of going broody: Cardhu, PITA, Focus. Still broody: yes, yes, yes. Stragglers on the hatch....I hope not. Enough to cover...depends upon how the hatch goes.

Gosh what a little brat! Sure hope s/he will be ok - these chooks sure are stressful at times.

They sure are, and these game birds are too fast to catch. It took myself and a neighbor to wrangle him/her back onto my property. Some people in my neighborhood are kind enough to help.
