on PITA, one of the likely pullets. The gold on the left is the little cockerel, and the darkie in front is one of the undetermined chocolate chicks.

Forgot to post a Caturday. He's late to the party for obvious reasons.

The guinea birds. They mess that crate up so quickly! But hubby says they'll be in the coop tonight. As will the cochins.
Do I need to leave the door closed for a day so they know where to go to bed now?

I've not had guinea fowl, but I leave all new birds enclosed for at least 3 days. Don't know if that's needed, but it's what we've always done.

I've heard they need something like a month, but I have NO actual experience with guineas.

You know, that's what we did with our peacock hen. I only did the 3 days with our chickens. I don't know why I didn't think about that. My brain is getting tired...lol
