A New Home Base

The Phyllistines have been going to bed in their coop like they should for a while now. That is until last night.

After entering the big coop again yesterday I think they decided they would like to roost with us now at night.

That is the kitchen window behind them.

It is a long walk with 2 chickens perched in your arm, from the house, around the pool, and into their coop.
They are so lovely!💗
All they want is your attention and boy do they know how to get it!

Candling: At 79 hrs post setting.

Whiskers is sticking to them like glue.

P1 - yes good veining

P2 - yes, hard to see veining, this was the first one I candled, light wasn’t as strong.

P3 - questionable, and see some ‘lines’ could be veins, could be egg colour making it hard to see adequately.

S1 - yes, a splendid eggsample of veining.

S2 - yes another eggcellent example

S3 - yes, harder to see due to shell colour.

And now the question, what does everyone think the eggs are?

I have no clue... but this is exciting! :pop

Surely it doesn't rain every day? I bet you could get a lot of perch time in! 😉
Yesterday was the first real, good rain we've had all summer. It was a downpour for a good while. We really needed it... Too bad it's going to be hot, dry, but also humid for the forseeable future again. Blehhh :th

Just lovely! I think we might finally be past our triple digit days at least for the next 15 days. Supposed to get rain on Friday, but I won't be here. Our humidity stays relatively low and when we do get a little, I start to complain then think of all my friends here who know what real humidity is...lol Stay cool! 💗

Humidity tax! Penny 💞

@Ponypoor are those polish? They almost look too round for any polish eggs I've seen, but I have pompoms on the brain.

Look at Brainiac and her white tail!

As for wattles, here is Wild Man looking regal. He called out a hawk this morning and Fenix chased it off.

Yes, all the ‘P’ eggs are polish. That is what I was told at any rate. We’ll see when they hatch I suppose! She has Silver and Gold Laced, and one that I would say is a Buff Laced - I think she called it. It looks like Gucci. A nice Pullet like that I would keep ♥️

Any guess to the ‘S’ eggs?

Good boys Fenix and Wild Man now that’s teamwork!
