I am so happy you got some pullets. Cuckoo's are a pretty pattern. Honestly I'm finding there is really not much I consider ugly in silkies. Well, I still do not like showgirls, and I do still dislike the red Pyle coloring. Other then that, all silkies are adorable. Those little cochins are adorable as well.

I used to not really be a fan of white silkies. Calypso has changed that. So much so that if she is a he, well, he stays. I'm still leaning towards pullet with her, but just in case, Calypso stays.
Let’s not forget that Silkies are not real chickens. NOT really chickens!
They are feather dusters!

All grown up fluffy butts (still not one egg yet. I lodged a complaint but they just bawked and said it will happen when it does and not a day before!):

Well, they are more correct than you may wish to know. Remember how long Bernie held out on @RoyalChick ? And then Poppet held out on @RebeccaBoyd ?

The fun will be when they all of a sudden surprise you by popping one out.

Special feather duster's with a maternal instinct that I am finding very hard to beat. I've been blessed with wonderful broody hens and lovely mothers. Leave it to the not real chickens to give me my first true experience of co-parenting. I would have never thought I would have 5 hens taking care successfully of 1 lone chick yet here we are. They also make wonderful emotional support companions. I made Rosie go out today and bring in Barbosa. He snuggled with me for 30 minutes. Half of that time I admit I passed out and he stayed put, Rosie woke us up when she came to check on me.

What a treat . I get to spend the afternoon with my rooster Gizmo. It’s been too long and he’s grown up so beautiful
Me and Gizmo had a conversation again today. I really spilled my guts out, he just stood there listening to me. I asked him if he had anything to say, and after a long pause, he went “cockadooledoo” he’s such a great little guy.
