@RebeccaBoyd I hope you are able to get the pain under control - and that you are able to slowly wean off the pain meds....and feel managable as you do! I don't envy you in this process...but stay strong while continuing to use some sort of pain med to help you. manage - your shoulder still has a long way to go to heal - and will have a fair amount of inflammation and pain during this process.

@Marie2020 I am sorry to hear of your ordeal, but so glad that you are getting it straightened out now and can 'see the light at the end of the tunnel' so to speak.

Today has been a rough day. Honestly the worst one yet. My bones are aching. The swelling has went down in my hand and forearm but my upper arm and shoulder is still swelled. I feel the tightness of the swelling. Bruising has become very noticeable even with the bandages still on. Those come off tomorrow and I'm afraid to see what is underneath. Since I was already several hours behind this morning with my first dose of medicine I did extend it to every 7 1/2 hours instead of every 6. I've got to wean myself off the Percocet. They are making me sick. I'm going to bring it up at tomorrow's doctor appointment. I'm hoping they will give me a plan to throw in a Motrin or Tylenol in between doses and go longer in-between them. All I've done today is sleep. The Percocet makes me sleepy initially but even then I could not stay awake today. I did not fight it, I know my body needs the sleep to heal. I think I've been awake a grand total of 3 hours and about ready to crash again as soon as I can have Rosie swap out the washer and dryer. Even though there is horrible swelling and a rather ugly looking green and yellow bruise, there is no heat or redness coming from my arm. That at least is a good thing.

I’m angry for you that the one dentist did not just remove the tooth at that point! Created so many issues. Grrrrr may you have swift resolution to the other issues, and an easy recovery. Fingers crossed.

It was dangerous for him to remove it. Because of my health issues. He should have sent an urgent referral to the hospital as I needed support in my jaw as he said bridges would come out to. Plus he wanted to remove the other back tooth as he said it was lose but I haven't had issues with that at all. Fingers crossed I'll make it in time to get the support needed.

Now I have to be super careful until I get the support in my mouth that's needed. Or this could damage my neck

I thought I was ready to wean myself off the strong painkillers. I took my last pill around 11 last night. I should have set a alarm for 5 am this morning. I did not, I slept through it and did not wake up until 8. I will say that was a horrible decision, and no I am not ready. I woke up hurting so bad that it made me sick and I can feel every heartbeat in my arm. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and my shoulder has hurt pretty much non-stop for 2 years. This.....this is different let me tell you.

sometimes one moment at a time is all you can handle. You have as much support as we all can provide long-distance.
