Shanai has been regularly challenging Diane, but I haven’t seen any encounters in over a week. At that time they were beak to beak in a stare down after a scuffle, and Hazel suddenly ran at Shanai from behind, at ramming speed with a great leap at the end, and Shanai did not see her coming. That maybe put a stop to it, haven’t seen any since…maybe for the time being…

One of the best shots when I let them do their own photo shoot

Bananas only fruit once. But if you have good pace to grow them, they send up offshoots, which the 'new' sprouts will then fruit in due time.

Bananas - and they can put out lots of little banana plants called suckers or pups.

I cut off 4 pups from my banana plants when I dug them up to pot and bring inside.

Most banana plants don’t produce edible fruit, but do produce lovely flowers and then the banana pods full of seeds.

Consumer bananas were developed to not have seeds.

Now for some names

View attachment 4214041Jax, the pretty boy. I'm guessing from his wing tips he's got a bit of Bielefelder in him, but truly don't know.

Called Koonj in India, and considered a creature of grace and elegance.

Beautiful! Koonj is darker than Thing, as I recall. More slender? But they’re young still.

I had a dream I was hanging with the girls. Counted them. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

...

5?!

Aliss was there walking around like nothing happened, but she was covered in dirt like she had just crawled out of her grave. I was happy but confused 😆 I'll choose to believe she was visiting me in a dream to spend a little time together ❤️‍🩹
Maybe she was dustbathing too :hugs :hugs
