Sally, we need to leave the By Bob family alone for a while. Emotion runs deep for him and wife. It’s like losing a child. And it is totally understandable. I grieve with them. 😔 it’s even hard for me to accept such a terrible loss.
Note: I still grieve over the loss of Phyllis, their fashionable Polish hen. 🥲

🎼Come fly with me!! I cruse at 3000 feet usually
I don't fly, I don't cruise, I don't bus, I don't bike, I don't metrorail, I don't walk either... altho the excessive h*meless have been cleared out lately around the neighborhood streets!

My exercise is within the yard. The little sweeties give us cause to keep up w/them. Lots of walking done in our daily Easter egg hunts...

Mostly the Newfoundland regiments - which were still part of Britain. Newfoundland became a Canadian province (the last) in 1949.

It was dreadfully poor, so joining Canada ensured that all the new fangled technology of the day became common place, along with education, healthcare and trade. Now it’s a very wealthy province with the off shore oil fields, and the mining that has been developed. There are around 545,000 people, we like to joke that most of them work in Alberta in the oil fields out there so at any time there may only be 1/2 that population there.

My parents came to Ontario when they were in their late teens, in the 1960s prospects were very poor for work down there. Toronto was the place to be! My parents hated Toronto, they were not used to the big city, when I was a small child they moved north of Toronto to live by a lake up here - water food and music were what I knew growing up.

Newfoundlanders have a reputation of being tough and resilient, and our military has a very large number of Newfoundlanders as it is a family tradition in most Newfoundland families for military service.

They love that pine tree 😊
Are they sap safe?

Tax evasion? I don’t evade taxes, I restructure my bookkeeping to account for changes in tax law. All this will be cleared up when I take new pics of the new chick tomorrow. Male or female, she is going to be my most beautiful bird to date. ( except for Sir Jaffar of course)
Just wondering about the cloudiness of your latest photos... is your camera lens clean? After Giznmo's stately photo the pics seemed to get hazier...

It takes a special kind of skill to loose one's insulin pump receiver. I, I have that skill.

I got home around 10 this evening. Came in and threw my ice packs in the freezer, and set everything else on the table. I went out to gather the eggs and double check Rosie had everyone locked up. I then sat down and went down a facebook chicken group rabbit hole which resulted in a "I want a turkey".

A hour ago I decided to turn in and went to grab the pump receiver so I could put it on charge. I thought it was on my bed. Umm....nope. Ok, I left it on the kitchen table, again nope. Mild panic sets in and I go searching in the car with no luck. At this point I'm now retracing my steps from the car looking on the ground thinking I had put it in my pocket and it had fallen on the ground. No luck out front, so I go out back looking and in the coops. Why I thought it would have fallen out in the coops I have no idea, but, again...panic.

I'm now convinced I left it at the diner and I'm preparing make a 2 am trip back when I go to grab one of my ice packs out of the freezer. There it is, in the bag I had tossed my ice packs in. I know remember tossing everything in the bag as we were getting ready to leave so I would not forget anything.

There are times I should not be trusted with expensive medical devices. Tonight was one of them.
