Whoa Nelly! Glad you found it. Yes expensive:

You do not need a turkey - don’t you have wild ones there? We have lots of wild turkeys here - magnificent beasts!

What you do need are Polish! They are the perfect accompaniment to a silkie 😊♥️

Those Tolbunts ~ so glad you found them & saved them.

I agree about no turkeys... my farm folks loved their gaggle of geese cuz they could free range all day & were fierce at warding off intruders but were sweet around their humans... & unlike ducks that need a pond, geese are OK w/ just drinking water & are pretty good staying on the property once they know their boundaries. My Mom loved their eggs too.

The rarer Cotton Patch heritage breed is also a good weed eater... used to weed cotton fields in the South. These are what I would get if I had the space for geese ~ different color patterns so it's easy to identify individuals.

If I'm still alive when all the chickens pass I might still get 2 or 3 geese as guardians in the back yard. They'd do a fierce guard job in the front yard too... except our backyard is better suited for having birds.

Oh, sorry those I bought are golden laced (I think that is what they call them), I guess Tolbunts will have to be a future chook now. Along with Brahmas.

Unless I win the lottery 😆👍

Don’t you realize that maple syrup comes from Canadian trees.?sa🇨🇦 how else would I enjoy my waffles in the morning ? Get off those Canadians and let them do their job!
You know maple syrup doesn't come from pine trees, right?

It's Unbelievable
This morning, I have been rewarded a 3 year trophy on BYC. It sounds crazy that I have been here for so long! Here's to 4, 5, 6 and many more years on here. That will be a journey that I'm looking forward to.
Tony, Parmesan and Mozzarella have stuck around for the last 3 years (yes, Tony did start molting).

Of course we can't forget Grandma. Didn't make it to 3 years, but she will always be included.

This may not seem like a big deal to all of you, but it's crazy to think that I've been using this forum for 3 years as well as my travel account. So here's to many more years on here.
:highfive:
It's also amazing how long people stay on BYC. Some of the 1st people I went to w/ questions are all still on here many yrs later!
