More proof that chickens are closely related to cats, since you can apparently throw the assembly instructions in the bin and just stick bits together randomly and they somehow still work.

Cough update

Well I figured I would give an update on the health status of everyone here.

There are three that are still coughing; Clyde, Daisy and Curly.

I have Curly another dose of Tylosin tonight along with Tylenol and some prednisone to help with her breathing. She is the worst at the moment but also the most recent to be ill.

I thought the Noirans would need dosing tonight, but when I got home they appeared fine. I am about to head out to do evening chores and check them all. I and glad it’s the weekend to am so tired of being up late having to get up and go to the barn in the middle of the night because I can hear someone wheezing over the camera. But with anything you need to nip these things in the bud. A little hard work and lack of sleep can pay big. I can sleep all weekend now, and it’s a long weekend thankfully.

I’ll continue the Tylosin in the water and their porridge for the weekend, hopefully I am seeing the back of this situation.

Ok everyone have a lovely evening/night/day, time to do chores and check everyone.

And apparently chickens can train cats! I know this I read it - somewhere…. Now where was that???

MY Dakota wanted some time with me today. She saw me on the porch seat and came up to greet me. I asked her if she wanted a treat, she refused, so I brought her inside with me to watch tv.
No pressure; all she wanted was my company. Poor girl is going thru her molt too. I don’t touch her, she steps up on to my hand and in the house we go!

I am so happy it helped with Hazel! The poor sweet dear, I hate it when they are so nervous they tremble, so I am sooooo happy that this worked for her. I would say give Hazel a hug for me, but she wouldn't like that...so maybe an extra treat (1 on 1, so it doesn't get stolen) for her?
