Now for a large bite of good news.
I found Dakota back in the coop just now. I guess she was hiding after dark last night, or possibly partying with the rooster next door. Anyway, I’m happy to have her back home safe. No scent of corn mash alcohol on her beakbreath.

I have an adult turn up missing occasionally.....only to have that one come out of the coop in the morning with the rest. How do they do that?

Delicately sipping from raindrops was soon forgotten when they found an abandoned washing up bowl in an overgrown corner of the plot. Not sure how many years' worth of decaying plant matter and other miscellaneous sludge was in there, but clearly an excellent vintage

Thirsty Thursday

The mucky dirt by the manure pile is a special treat, I call it Epona Elixir.

That’s Eli-too, I am keeping a close eye on her, moulting and a crop that is causing her grief. I keep her on pain meds now to encourage her to eat. She’s been more active since I started her on the pain meds.

Oh who was it that was asking about the hay binder twine I use as handles on those waterers? As you can see I tied a knot at the ends, and placed the ends across from each other and taped it on with electrical tape. Works like a charm!

On that bottle I used the seam in the plastic as a place to put the twine handle.
