Today is our 1st sunny day after 4 days of rain.
While pouring rain yesterday ~ Neighbor across the street had an explosion in their garage & fire. 3 fire engines to break a window to put out flames w/a hose. A little overkill on the engines I think. Took 'em longer to wrap up & leave compared to how fast they got here
W/ illegal fireworks idiots in the neighborhood, honking cars, freeway accident noises, kids screaming at play, low helicopters, & dogs barking, our flock goes nonchalantly strolling around the yard. But one mylar party balloon floating overhead & they freeze eyeing it suspiciously.
I haven’t seen hot air balloons in years go overhead. The horses about killed me a few times with those when I was riding.
Wonder what the chooks would think?!
The Base sent a HUGE helicopter overhead last week and scared to ever living daylights out of everyone, didn’t help it flew extremely low overhead.
