Oh my!
Mr. Chips and Geronimo did a thorough inspection of the nest boxes together. Cookie tagged along but didn’t go into them herself.

What a sweetie💕Has she been able to find a flockmate friend yet... since losing her sibling?

She has made herself at home and goes where she wishes. The others pretty much let her have her own way.

Earlier she was hanging out under the sweeter heater with Eli-too.

But she doesn’t have a friend who snuggles with her. So I cuddle her when she wants cuddling.

Tonight the three girl marshmallows are in with the polishes. Blaze and the boy marshmallow have moved to the big coop. Hopefully that allows us to integrate the group with the main run crew. Riddick decided to sleep in the tall coop tonight.

We hooked up our heated waterers, and now we have no power due to a tree down. 🙄

I guess you’re getting the same weather warnings I am getting. Already have snow warnings for up to and over 50cm (20”) of snow.

The chooks were able to get outside this afternoon and I guess that will be that last they will get out unless they are wrong about the prolonged cold going into the new year.

I removed the safety fencing from the front lawn in front of the barn. I will need to get the truck and plow back there if we get all that snow.

Happy chooks enjoying unusually mild end of November weather.

@SimpleJenn, I hope your power comes back on soon!

The chickens spent their day in the coop. I have all the windblock panels/sheets up, but they didn't like the noise in the trees, and the trees swaying back and forth.

At lock up, two of the molters were in the nest boxes, and everyone else was on the main roost. I think they put their differences aside and wanted the warmth of each other.

Everyone except the newbees are in the coop tonight. Even the four little ones. The newbees are up the pine tree in the front yard. Yes up in the branches! It’s a madhouse around here with roosters chasing hens all around.
But Ive been treating the newbees with great kindness and treats. They are still afraid of me. I guess they were treated as chickens at their other home. :idunno
