Dakota is in the house with me tonight. She can’t stay in the house tomorrow, because I’m flying out to spend thanksgiving with a friend in San Francisco, but I’ll stay in touch. Paul will be checking on the birds for me.

Mine hate my Polishes too. We are going to set them up with their own space (the chicken trailer park is growing) when I get my cousin's coop. Then I'll move the marshmallows out with them too. Right now they're in the brooder coop seperated.

This is not hatred, it's pecking order. Aster and Lady Featherington are the bottom 2 in the original order. They are making certain neither of these 2 pass them.

At this point the order is set but they have scarred Tilly. She is very jumpy when they are around and runs off they get close at all. Niamh is less afraid but she grew up with them.

I seldom hear about Sydney... my bet is she's a sweetie & not a troublemaker? Dom's & BRs are pretty good flockmates from ours & our neighbor's experience.

Matilda took the same exit as Arabel. The other day, I caught Tundra in the top of the bush behind Koonj with Mortimer on the rail an hour later. Both took similar flights before I could get pics, and Tundra isn't exactly a small fellow.

I seldom hear about Sydney... my bet is she's a sweetie & not a troublemaker? Dom's & BRs are pretty good flockmates from ours & our neighbor's experience.

Sydney is pretty even keeled. She was pretty aggressive with the new girls for a bit but then she was good. She hangs out with Hattie and Lady Featherington most of the day. No drama there.

Frankly if I hadn't tried to add more chickens this year it would have been a nice peaceful year. All the issues have been with the new ones.
