If you have a carpentry/shop class in your school you can approach the teacher and ask for help with building a coop and run, the teacher might think it’s a great idea for a project for the students.

You might end up with a palace!
We do! It's right next to one of our ag rooms actually, and the teacher helps us build stuff a ton.
He was actually supposed to build a chicken palace, but a student build a duck pen where he was going to build it.
I would think that if there is a concreted area, people wouldn't build on it, but I guess people don't think like me. I always ask my ag teachers' before I do something with school property.
I'll probably end up going over there to ask for a few things if I need anything... Although the construction teacher scares the living crap out of me.

The other chooks are pretty good. I have made a bunch of changes, but everyone is doing great. I need to move 10 more chickens out to free range (it was the only way Dad would let me buy the new school chickens with my friend.) but I've not done that yet.
I have way too many roosters, and Dad won't let me send them to freezer camp. I have six right now... and two are in my freezer, than goodness, or else it would've been awful.

I would send tax, but I am on my personal Chromebook with no chook pictures... I got grounded yesterday because of my short temper. My brother has been harping on me about something for the past few weeks and I snapped yesterday. He got cussed out and I got my phone taken away for a few days. Once I get it back I will send tax though.

My lavender orp. is moulting right now too. Most of everyone has already moulted. Just her and my barnevelder, Willow, and I think a few wyandottes.
She's a gorgeous girl though. How are all your chooks? Horses?

Everyone one is good, I have three young silkies who are cute as the dickens.

The horses are ok, my Arab mare is lucky I didn’t send her to freezer camp today. She temperamental at best but today she was a maniac. Full moon, and she also is extremely grumpy with the cold and snow.

Here is one of the silkie chicks - apparently he is a Red Pyle (I think that’s what I was told), so he is called Gomer Pyle (thanks Rural mouse for the suggestion).

He’s a real sweetie and almost was squashed by Reenie - only his toes where nipped though thankfully! The chookes are not allowed in with the horses anymore now.

He’s likely a sweetie at heart. Offer him free eggs 👍😉

I'm glad everyone is doing well!
Ah, gotta love frisky horses. Insane creatures, aren't they?

Oh my gosh, he is so cute! I love his coloring. One of the chicks that I was looking at when my friend and I bought them was a silkie. The only thing that stopped me is that they didn't have any for the day we chose for them to hatch. I want one so badly.
Thank goodness he didn't get crushed. That would've been awful.

Ok all have a lovely evening/night/day

More two fors

Mr P and Mrs LC - Mr P is not allowed on that wall!

Then next thing I know Henny Penny has hopped up on that branch roost next to Mrs LC. Sorry didn’t get a photo - I was too worried she would try to fly down and it’s a good 6’ up.

Need to get that Winter Room enclosed and buttoned up this weekend, it’s getting really cold here.

Petra and Dorothy, and a couple more way at the back. Petra is growing up!

Haha, naughty chooks.
Mr P is looking handsome as ever.

And OMG, that polish pullet is STUNNING! If I was anywhere near where you live, you might be down a polish, because I would snatch that pretty girl. She is so gorgeous.

Silkies are a pain, they can’t fly and can’t roost up high even though they think they can! Have to keep their head feathers trimmed or they can’t see at all. Have to say though I haven’t had any foot feather issues yet thankfully!

They are ok with the cold as long as no wind rain or snow, but I find they struggle is the humid heat.

She’s a sweetie pie also. Since her sister died she has been clinging to me. Poopy feet and all.

But she and her sister bought Micoplasma here, it went through the whole flock. I never should have bought the at the swap meet. 😞 but what’s done is done.
