@Ponypoor here is your namesake girl! She loves pecking snow off my boots and will accept a wing stroke or belly scritch.

So about 20 min to go from pre dawn to light. That’s pretty fast! We are gaining something like 3 min of daylight a day now, you must be about that also, though maybe you’re at a higher latitude there…? 44.3894° N

Can’t wait until it’s light at 10pm again 😉 heck even 8pm!!!

Of course then it’s hard to get the chooks to go to bed then. It’s a good trade though in my opinion!

Mooooooo - they look like young Jersey cross. I would have some nice Jerseys if I were younger. Now I will just enjoy any my neighbour gets in to keep the grass down.

I am farther north....by just a smidge.

Cows are a Swiss breed.

They are lovely, and all those old old dairy breeds which are now in decline because of the Holsteins popularity as a dairy animal, those old breeds are getting harder to find.

The neighbor is Swiss....and the cows have leather collars with bells on. (Well, not the bull)

So sorry Alex. Just spitballing for ideas for you. As others have said, one of your landscape guys could easily put it up for you and it might ease your mind about the dog.
:hugs
RC, no dog today, but I had my guys fill in the digging holes. Then lay some old pieces of plywood and covered them with tires. All the chooks are fine today.
