My Alfa hen (was always the first ) is now being pushed aside. Even the roo won't let her eat. Her comb is fading and she just stands in the corner of the run. Can I isolate her for a while so she can eat and get stronger? What is this and what should I do? My 3 hens and roo are one yr old. My coop (droppings) get cleaned less often in winter, but often enough that my peeps never get dirty butts. I feed them cracked corn w/grit ( 1 cup to 15 lbs of corn) and a vegie or grass every day and fresh water daily. coop is warmed w/ a light on cold nights. The sick one is white, roo is Barred Rock and other two hens are Golden Comets. Thanks in advance for any advise.

I would definitely isolate her and give her something to eat. Make sure she gets stronger, and then reintroduce her back into the coop at night when all the other birds are asleep. If it continues, I don't know what else to offer. Maybe someone else can help you with that. Good luck!
